Young mother suffers devastating side effects from taking Yaz
ABC News reports the case of a young mother with 3-year old twins who decided to take Yaz when she and her husband decided they didn’t want to have any more children. 4 months after starting to take Yaz, Susan suffered a devastating stroke, causing her to have to stay in the hospital for 6 months, undergoing surgery to remove part of her skull, as well as many other complications. When Susan returned home, she needed to undergo lengthy physical therapy, as well as learn to walk and talk again. As a result of the stroke, Susan can no longer drive, and her children have to adapt to their mother’s needs as well.
Yaz is reported to have twice the risk of stroke over other oral contraceptives on the market. Susan is currently suing Bayer to remove Yaz from the shelf and preventing this from happening to other young women. To view the video, go to ABC.
